Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and we’re feeling passionate for chocolate. From eBooks with chocolatey recipes to print books exploring the technology behind a chocolate bar, we found a variety of books in the library’s catalog to satiate our desire. Whatever you feel passionate about, we’ve probably got a book for that!
Are you a library book? Because we’re checking you out.
The library’s catalog is our personal database containing records for all of the library’s books and eBooks, as well as our physical collections such as our DVDs, music scores, and board games. The catalog lives within Quick Search, so you can always search both at once, but you can also search the catalog directly.
To find the catalog, look for its tab behind Quick Search in the big blue box on the library’s homepage. You’ll find a dedicated search box for the catalog, as well as a link to jump directly to its advanced search. Or, just use the Quick Search box, and once you have your results, change the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar from "Everything" to "Library Catalog" and you’re good to go!
Let’s take a look at some of the search options in the left side bar of the catalog. Do you want…
