International Fiction Review (Online): This was a scholarly periodical devoted to international fiction published by the International Fiction Association. The IFR included original essays on the contemporary fiction of many countries as well as reviews of recently published novels and scholarly works on fiction. It gave authoritative coverage to world fiction. This journal no longer publishes.
Fafnir (Finnish Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy Research): Founded in 2014, Fafnir is a World Fantasy Award-winning, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal published by The Finnish Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy Research. The journal provides an open-access international forum for scholarly exchanges on science fiction, fantasy, and issues current in the field.
Foundation: The International Review of Science Fiction: A critical peer-reviewed literary journal established in 1972 that publishes articles and reviews about science fiction. It is published triannually by the Science Fiction Foundation.
Studies in Short Fiction: A scholarly journal of essays, short notes and reviews devoted exclusively to serious commentary on short fiction. Publication ceased from 2000-2012, and only published one additional issue in 2012 before ceasing again.
Modern Fiction Studies (Online): MFS publishes scholarly essays that analyze the important aesthetic, cultural, political, and environmental developments currently shaping today’s academic and public conversations.
Studies in American Fiction (Online): Studies in American Fiction publishes reviews and articles on a wide temporal range in American fiction: from neglected and rediscovered early U.S. writers (Susanna Rowson, Leonora Sansay, James Hall) to the emergent authors of the present day (Katherine Dunn, Ana Menéndez, Monique Truong, Toni Morrison).
