Many people have ideas about how to improve education. These sites focus on research that has been proven to be effective, not opinions or partisan politics.

Clearinghouse on Educational Management (formerly ERIC Clearinghouse on Educational Management), operated by the College of Education, University of Oregon. Explore "hot topics," such as class size, charter schools, vouchers, and school reform. Full-text "Research Roundups" and "Policy Reports" are also available.

Center for Equity and Excellence in Education (CEEE) George Washington University hosts this site, which sponsors research and policy analysis in areas such as English language learners, assessment and accountability, literacy and school reform.

Center for Comprehensive School Reform and Improvement  Includes a School Reform and Improvement database.

NCES K-12 Practitioners' Circle Statistics for parents, teachers, administrators, policymakers, librarians.

Regional Educational Laboratories (REL) Program Gateway to 10 RELs who work to ensure that those involved in educational improvement at the local, state, and regional levels have access to the best available information from research and practice. Each REL specializes in an area, such as assessment, language and cultural diversity, etc.
