OT 525: Occupational Therapy History and Theory

The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is the national professional association established in 1917 to represent the interests and concerns of occupational therapy practitioners and students of occupational therapy and to improve the quality of occupational therapy services.

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable, scientific and educational organization founded in 1965. It serves the public interest by supporting occupational therapy research and increasing public understanding of the important relationship between everyday activities (occupations) and health.

The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) is the national organization that supports occupational therapists (OTs), occupational therapist assistants (OTAs) and students who work or study in Canada.

COTAD is an occupational therapy organization committed to doing work in justice, equity, diversity, inclusion (JEDI), anti-racism and anti-oppression.
