Environmental Protection Agency
The EPA's website has environmental news stories, information on pollutants and other threats to the environment, and environmental law.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
NOAA's website has information about government initiatives and programs in weather, climate, oceans, fisheries, coastal regions and more.

World Health Organization (WHO)

The WHO contains open-access journals, government reports, and statistics from member countries on a host of health issues.

United States Geological Survey (USGS)

The USGS states is a government agency that has a mission, according to its website, to "[serve] the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life." It includes hundreds of thousands of open-access research articles, environmental government agency reports, and news reports.
